Update One - The Start

The start of a new! Thought it would be fun to write down my thoughts and give updates on this new project of mine "Mother's Home", of course a solo project with too much cope and trust the process pumping through my veins. So if I read this later in the future, hopefully with better updates. Hello past me! I hope you've overcome your struggles with Renpy and is working on great things. You better not have dropped the project, that would be sad. Mega major sadness.

Anyway, first things first. I want to give a big thanks to the dev who's inspired me to make my own visual novel, s1ckh34d ! Aka the maker of What I wouldn't Do or Wh4t 1 W0uldnt d0 ... Right now, as of this post the final version of the game isn't out yet but I highly recommend their prototype!

As of the first set of updates, Mother, or Mama, whichever you wish to call her. Is a very old OC of mine and she does hold a close place in my heart. She is a part of a game series I made when I was in middle school. I believe I named it Mythical Tales, and she was I think the second chapter of the three I had made for the first segment. Midnight Office Ours, Mother's Home, and Murder Manor. Would love to get back to the other's I've made. Trust me there is way more than three other games. With Mother I've looked back on old art of her and decided not much needs changed for her character, her original design was almost perfect to me. Just some few tweaks to make her have a more simplistic style is what I wanted. The first two ideas were to make her doll like, skinny, and that unnerving smile. But I decided to make her a bit more curvy yet keep her same features. Tired eyes, aging, that smile. (Seen in attachments). Huh... what's those markings? Best if I don't touch on that just yet! She's no ordinary woman after all... 

Renpy has been not so bad as I thought it would be! I've struggled a tad with the coding but I'm understanding it a bit as I go! I mean look I got this silly kitty to show up (Attachments)! I'm pretty proud and need to recommend Zeil Tutorials for the great youtube video! Zeils Video Here , which helped me greatly in understanding the basics! And the road ahead looks a little brighter knowing Renpy isn't as intimidating as I thought it would be (THANK GOD) !!! 

Will be updating my pages as they go, I know I should have waited a bit to make them since there is the potential of abandoning the project, but this is helping me stick to it and not do it! So i'll be slowly doing that as I continue writing the story. I have the basics down, and some secret things I like to add. With how im treating this game, do expect it to be uncomfortable. That's the goal to make it that way, and give Mother more characterization! Again this is all done by me so I'm trying not to rush myself with it but I've needed a project to keep me busy since my motivation has been bad lately. And I do want to make something I'm really proud of, so hopefully things work out. Who knows!
